A nest of the Black-winged Stilt and three nests of the Avocet were found on a pond near the village of Khudyaki (49°19´ N, 32°19´ E) in 2012. This is the first breeding record of the Avocet in Cherkasy region. Breeding of the Black-winged Stilt was registered after about a 30-year interval. Several pairs bred in the mouth of the Sula river in the first half of 1980s. [Russian].
