In Sumy region dunnock is quite common in the forest-steppe zone during both passages and very rare in the forest zone (Polissya). Spring migration occurs in late March – early April. Autumn migration is expressed better, but it is not regular. Birds were observed from late September to late October – mid-November, the peak migration went in the first half of October. The fact of breeding was registered. A nest with 3-day-old chicks and 2 unfertilized eggs was found in the Desnyansko-Starogutsky National Park on 19.05.2013. It was located in an alder forest to the north from Ulytsa village (52.20 N, 33.37 E; Seredyna-Buda district of Sumy region). [Russian].
