On base of the analysis of literature and results of field research total 11 species of cranes, rails and crakes from 2 families (Gruidae, Rallidae) were registered in Saratov region in 1871-2001. From them 9 species are breeding and 2 – vagrant. Spotted Crake, Coot, Moorhen and Corncrake are the most numerous species. 4 species of these families (Crane, Demoiselle Crane, Baillon’s Crake and Warer Rail) is included in the Red Data Book of Saratov region. Purple Gallinule is very rare visitor to Saratov region. Data about distribution and ecology of all 11 species are presented. [Russian].
