Waterbird community of fish ponds near villages Lypoviy Skitok, Zabirya and Bobritsya (Kyiv region). - V.A. Kostyushin. - Avifauna of Ukraine. 6. 2015. - P. 32-39.
The ponds are situated to the south-west from Kyiv. Results of 35 waterbird counts are presented. They were conducted in different months in 1991-2013. In total, 10 860 individuals of 61waterbird species were counted. Mallard (2635 ind., 24,26%) and Black-headed Gull (1478 ind., 13,61%) were the most numerous. Yellow-legged Gull (907 ind., 8,35%), Sand Martin (796 ind., 7,33%), Pochard (699 ind., 6,44%), Crested Grebe (515 ind., 4,74%), White-winged Black Tern (487 ind., 4,48%), Coot (362 ind., 3,33%), Grey Heron (313 ind., 2,88%), Common Gull (304 ind., 2,80%), Black Tern (137 ind., 1,26%) and Tufted Duck (103 ind., 0,95%) were the common species.
